Make It or Break It is an American teen/family drama television series that focused on the lives of teen gymnasts who strived to make it to the Olympic Games in 2012. The series was inspired by Touchstone's 2006 teen comedy-drama film Stick It. It premiered on ABC Family on June 22, 2009, with 2.5 million viewers. The series ended after Season 3. Payson Keeler, Kaylie Cruz, Lauren Tanner, and newcomer Emily Kmetko are elite-level gymnasts training for the 2012 Summer Olympics at a gym called "The Rock". The girls' futures are thrown into turmoil when their head coach, Marty Walsh, is blackmailed out of his job and is forced to move to a rival gym. All four girls harbor secrets they must conceal for the sake of their athletic careers. |
